Memory
The place in Caura Prism that holds everything your agents remember — the memory table, the map or graph, documents and the audit trail, what each tab lets you do, and who sees what.
Memory answers one question: what do your agents remember? It is the
sidebar item at /prism. Its line under the title reads "Everything your
agents remember."
Memory shows one tenant at a time: the one chosen in the switcher at the top of the sidebar. With no tenant chosen, a tab says so and offers Choose a tenant. See Tenants.
Two buttons sit at the top right on every tab:
- Ask your memory runs a search over this tenant's memory. Where the memory map is on, it opens Memory › Map in Ask mode. Otherwise it opens the Ask your memory page, with Write, Search, Get by ID and Recent tabs.
- Add memory offers three ways in: Write a memory (type one in by hand), Import a file or URL (facts are extracted for you to check before they are saved) and Connect an agent (opens Connect › Get started).
Who sees what
Everyone who can open a tenant sees Memory and its tabs. Two tabs depend on features of your organization:
| Tab | Shown when |
|---|---|
| Memories, Documents, Audit trail | always |
| Map | the memory map is switched on for your organization |
| Graph | the memory map is not switched on (Graph takes Map's place) |
The Audit trail also changes with governance; see below.
Memories
The memory table for this tenant, newest first, 50 rows at a time.
- Filter by Fleet, Agent, Type and Status. Each filter shows how many memories have each value.
- Conflicts shows only memories marked as conflicting, the ones waiting in Review › Conflicts.
- Filter content… narrows the rows already loaded to those whose text matches, and highlights the match. To search the whole tenant, use Ask your memory.
- Live keeps the table refreshing while you watch.
The columns are Memory, Agent, Type, Status, Recalls and Created; all but Memory can be sorted. Memories that contain personal data carry a PII badge. Click a row to open it in full: its agent, links to the memory it replaced or that replaced it, and its linked entities.
Tick rows to Delete selected. When every row on the page is ticked, you can select all the memories that match the filters, across pages (not while Filter content… is in use).
Above the table:
- Needs you lists what is waiting on a person, with a link to each: conflicts to resolve, skills to approve, held writes to release, security findings and pairs of near-duplicates. An item with nothing waiting is left out.
- A new tenant with no memories yet shows the Get started checklist (it also lives on Connect › Get started).
- An organization over its plan limits sees a notice: new memories and imports are refused, but deleting still works, and a link opens Settings › Organization (its Plan and usage section, where billing is on).
Map
Every memory in this tenant on one canvas, laid out by meaning. The map has four modes, switched at its top: Topics, Ask, Agents and Entities. A link to the map keeps the mode it was on.
The map is switched on for your organization by Caura. Without it the tab is hidden, and a direct link says "The memory map isn't switched on for this organization", with Ask us to turn it on.
Graph
Shown instead of Map when the memory map is off. The entities your memories mention, and how they relate, as a graph you can search (Search entity...), zoom and expand. It starts small and lets you show more. Where the map is on, this address opens the map's Entities mode instead. See Knowledge graph.
Documents
The structured documents your agents keep in named collections (the
caura_doc tool). Pick a collection to list its documents, narrow them by
fleet or search by doc_id or content, and open one to read it. You can
delete a document after confirming. See
Documents.
Audit trail
What happened in this tenant, newest first, read a page at a time. Filter by agent and action; a row about a memory opens that memory in the table.
With governance on (it is unless it was turned off for your organization), it is one trail across memory and your agents' machines: what each agent did, for which person, under which rules. Memory operations come from Caura and agent sessions from the broker, hash-chained where they are recorded and checked on upload. Click a row for the event in full. It also filters by source, and Export OCSF saves every event the filters match, not only the rows shown, as OCSF events, a part at a time. Each export is itself recorded in the audit log. See Governance.
Home
The dashboard's first screen — how many agents worked and on what, whether memory is being used and what it was worth, how safe it is, where agents reached and which rules they kept. What each panel counts, what its sentence means, and who sees what.
Review
The place in Caura Prism for decisions waiting on a person — conflicting memories, skills to approve, near-duplicates and held writes — what each tab lets you decide, and who sees it.
